Observatory Sciences has substantial expertise in National Instruments LabVIEW software, with some of our staff having achieved Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer status.

LabVIEW (Laboratory Virtual Instrumentation Engineering Workbench) is a platform and development environment for a graphical programming language from National Instruments. It has revolutionised the development of test, measurement, and control applications because it allows, engineers and scientists, regardless of experience, to rapidly and cost-effectively interface with measurement and control hardware, analyse data, share results, and distribute systems.

Observatory Sciences has standardized on the use of LabVIEW for the production of many of its recent telescope control systems. Its ease of use has enabled increased speed and efficiency in the production of control software.

·         EPICS framework developed for use with LabVIEW on the ELI Beamlines lasers

·         Comprehensive, scalable EPICS integration with all NI LabVIEW products

·         Many EPICS record types supported, including waveform

·         Portable (Linux, Windows & LabVIEW RT)

LabIOC is a LabVIEW native Channel Access server and client developed by Observatory Sciences Ltd. to meet the needs of the laser control systems of the ELI-Beamlines project. The LabIOC framework provides full support for core EPICS record types in pure native LabVIEW, making it a fast and portable solution for integrating LabVIEW software into an EPICS control system.
